The chip leader is Frenchman Gerome Guitteau on 1.2 million ahead of Jason Brown (710,000), American Michael Shinzaki (620,000), Simon Watt (580,000), Richard Lancaster (570,000), Lance Climo (350,000), German Jens Walther (335,000), Australian-based Chinese player Ke Sijia (295,000) and Eric Assadourian's father Assadour(230,000).
Some players of note, who fell today, were last years champion Daniel Cracker in 29th place, Cris Tau in 20th, Eric Assadourian 19th and Mike King 15th.
The decider to see who is crowned Auckland Skycity's Festival of Poker champion will be held at the casino tomorrow.
