Soren Eriksen Wins The New Zealand Poker Championships AGAIN!
Soren Eriksen used his experience from winning last years 2009 New Zealand Poker Championship, to outlast this years final table and capture the New Zealand Poker Championship main event once again.
In the last hand of the tournament, Soren called an allin bet, with his pocket pair of sevens and was in a classic race up against Cole Swannack's AQ. Soren's pair of sevens managed to hold up and the victory was all his.
While also claiming the New Zealand Poker Championship two times, he also collected $60,000 cash for first place.

Christchurch Casino is once again host of the annual New Zealand Poker Championship.
The 2010 NZ Poker Champs will also include the first NZ Womens Poker Championship, the South Island champs, Canterbury champs, NZ Omaha Champs, Minh Tran Memorial, Peter Peko Memorial and a $50k challenge, along with the $2750 buyin main event.
